Our Senior Practitioners have extensive experience in their field and have been awarded professional recognition with their respective professional bodies such as the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health Professions Council (HPC), British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

Teresa Lewis is the founder and Director of Lewis Psychology and a Senior Accredited psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Snr. Accred). Qualified in 1995, Teresa has been providing counselling and psychotherapy treatment for 23 years. Now in her late 40's Teresa has completed over 15,000 therapy sessions and has successfully dealt with a wide range of issues from anger management to health anxiety. Teresa holds a masters degree in counselling and psychotherapy and is a qualified EMDR Practitioner having completed training accredited with EMDR Europe. As a recognised expert in her field Teresa is frequently asked to conduct editorial reviews and endorse counselling and psychotherapy books for international publishing houses.

Teresa is a qualified adult educator and has lectured extensively in the fields of counselling, psychotherapy and mindfulness. She is an accredited Mindfulness teacher and meets the requirements of the Good Practice Guidance for Teaching Mindfulness-Based Courses, which is published by the UK Network of Mindfulness Teacher Training Organisations.

Teresa is a founding member of the BACP's coaching division and has gained full registration status with the respected Association for Coaching (MAC). Paul Lewis, Director of Lewis PsychologyPaul Lewis, Director

Paul is an Accredited clinical hypnotherapist with The National Hypnotherapy Society (MHS Acc) and has been awarded Advanced Practitioner (ADPR) status by the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR).  As Wolverhampton's only GHR validated Advanced Hypnotherapy Practitioner, Paul has a substantial breadth and depth of knowledge in many areas of psychotherapy and hypnosis including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling and neuro linguistic programming (NLP). Paul is also a certified coach having gained full registration status with the respected Association for Coaching (MAC).  Paul has built a reputation as an innovative and creative practitioner working across a broad range of areas.  He holds professional qualifications in hypnotherapy in addition to qualifications in NLP, coaching, smoking cessation and counselling. He is a dynamic practitioner and his style is authentic and engaging, with a passion that both motivates and inspires. Paul enables people to understand and action the key factors in achieving and sustaining measurable growth and change. His solution focussed approach to change is informed by the latest neuroscientific research and evidence based psychology.

As co-director of Lewis Psychology Paul has extensive experience in the field of business development, sales, marketing and management, which proves invaluable in maintaining the company's high standard of services. Prior to being Director of Lewis Psychology Paul founded and headed a niche psychology company and established a worldwide customer base. He brings much expertise to Lewis Psychology and draws on his business experience to add a commercial edge to the company. Prianca Budon

Prianca is registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She has a degree in psychology and a BACP accredited masters degree in counselling.  She is currently completing her doctorate in counselling psychology and is registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Prianca has worked within different professional settings, including community projects, charities, private practice and schools, providing both brief and long term therapeutic interventions. Prianca draws upon her training in humanistic,  cognitive behavioural (CBT) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) approaches to tailor therapeutic plans to the unique needs of the individual and the nature of their concerns.  Prianca has worked with people facing a range of psychological difficulties, including stress, anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, identity, loss and relationship issues.   

Prianca aims to provide a warm, confidential environment for clients to express their emotions safely and establish a comfortable dynamic.  Prianca says "Our therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work.  I believe that our alliance should be based upon trust, respect and ongoing collaboration.  By exploring personal thoughts, feelings and behaviours together, we can identify themes and use suitable techniques to work towards achieving your goals at your own pace."  


Sarah Worley

Sarah is Registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and has a BACP Accredited masters degree in counselling psychology.  She has experience of working on large scale employee assistance contracts and in private practice at Lewis Psychology. Sarah has worked with people with a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties such as depression, anxiety, panic, childhood abuse, trauma, loss and relationship problems. She is able to offer both short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy, taking into account the nature of clients' concerns and needs. Sarah is an integrative practitioner meaning she is able to draw on her knowledge of cognitive-behavioural (CBT) and humanistic approaches to help reduce psychological distress and to enhance psychological well-being. Sarah’s strength is her capacity to build a relationship in which you will feel supported and understood, even when life is at its most difficult. Sarah provides a secure and confidential environment in which to explore your difficulties and establish a treatment plan that will be specific to your needs.


Sarah Morris

Sarah has a degree in psychology and a masters degree in clinical psychology. She is currently completing her doctorate in counselling psychology and is registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Sarah has worked with clients across the lifespan, with a broad spectrum of emotional and interpersonal difficulties. At Lewis Psychology Sarah provides counselling and psychotherapy for our employee assistance contracts and for our private clients. Predominantly using person-centred and cognitive behavioural techniques, Sarah ensures a supportive environment to explore any issue you wish to discuss.

Sarah’s professional experience in schools, psychiatric hospitals and outpatient settings has given her diverse proficiency to address a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, anger, eating disorders, insomnia and much more. Sarah endeavours to create a safe, trusting and collaborative space to empower clients to explore sensitive material and enhance their quality of life. Sarah says, “I believe progress is dependent on a collaborative dynamic between therapist and client, and I will endeavour to maintain an open and honest dialogue with you. My primary goal in therapy is to create a safe environment and facilitate a process in which you have space to observe and explore your mind in a way that allows you to develop new ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving”.

Temi Lawal

Temi has a Degree in Psychology and is currently completing her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Wolverhampton University.  Prior to working for Lewis Psychology Temi worked for the National Health Service (NHS) where she worked at an Improving Access to Psychological Interventions (IAPT) service seeing clients who are struggling to manage with the pressures of day to day life or events that throw us off balance that lead to anxiety and depression.  Temi is experienced in using a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion focussed therapy (CFT) and psychodynamic therapy.

Temi is passionate about helping people improve their psychological and emotional wellbeing and firmly believes that therapy should be tailored to suit every individual as we are all unique. She has a warm and empathetic style and encourages a collaborative approach between herself and her clients. Temi says, 'I strongly believe that as human beings we have the capacity and ability to make sustainable positive changes in our lives. The therapeutic relationship can provide a safe non judgemental space to explore these changes.'
